10. CHECKOUT LINKS (BUYERS AND SELLERS)
- Fanvue Checkout Links are Fanvue-hosted checkout pages through which approved Sellers offer digital products and services. This section explains the additional processing that applies when you buy or sell through Checkout Links, alongside the rest of this Policy. The Checkout Links Buyer Terms and Checkout Links Seller Terms also apply.
- If you buy through a Checkout Link:
- A Fanvue account is required to complete a purchase. If you check out as a guest, an account is created for you automatically at the point of purchase using the email address you enter, and you can access it via a secure login link sent to that address (contractual necessity).
- We process your contact, payment, technical, and session data to take payment, prevent fraud, and provide your receipts and transaction history, as described in Sections 1 and 2.
- Your first purchase from a Seller links your account to that Seller’s Fanvue profile as a follower, so your purchase history and any content the Seller makes available are connected to your account.
- We share with the Seller the information needed to deliver and support what you bought, such as your email address, the product purchased, and your payment or subscription status. This is shared through receipts, Seller dashboards, and, where the Seller has configured them, webhooks and purchase-verification tools. Sellers must handle this data in accordance with applicable data protection law and may only use it to deliver and support the product, as required by the Checkout Links Seller Terms.
- Where you choose an instalment or other third-party payment option at checkout, your data is processed by that provider under its own terms, which are presented to you before you commit.
- We use cookies to recognise your existing account on return visits to checkout pages; see our Cookie Policy.
- If you sell through Checkout Links:
- We process your identity, business, and financial information for onboarding, verification, and ongoing monitoring (contractual necessity, legal obligation, and legitimate interest), as described in the Checkout Links Seller Terms.
- Where required by platform tax-reporting laws (including DAC7, the UK digital platform reporting rules, and US information reporting requirements), we report Seller identification details and transaction information to the relevant tax authorities (legal obligation).
- We may share Seller information with our banking, acquiring, and card network partners where required for compliance, underwriting, or investigation purposes (legal obligation and legitimate interest).

- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and must not share them with others.
