11th May 2026 – New Policy: Non-consensual Intimate Image Takedown

We’ve published a new Non-consensual Intimate Image Takedown Policy setting out how individuals can request the removal of non-consensual intimate visual depictions, including AI-generated Digital Forgeries, from Fanvue.

What the Policy covers

  • Who can submit a request: the depicted individual, or an Authorised Representative (such as a parent, legal guardian, or attorney) acting on their behalf.
  • How to submit a request: by email to takedown@fanvue.com, with the information set out in Section 1.
  • Fanvue’s response: removal or disablement of the reported content within 48 hours of a valid request, reasonable steps to remove substantially similar copies, and reasonable steps to prevent re-upload.
  • Account action: users found to have published non-consensual intimate content may have their accounts permanently terminated under General Terms – Section 16 (Termination).
  • Abuse of the process: knowingly false or fraudulent requests may constitute a violation of applicable law and will result in account sanctions under the Acceptable Use Policy.

Why?

The Policy reflects Fanvue’s obligations under the TAKE IT DOWN Act in the United States and the Crime and Policing Act 2026 in the United Kingdom (which amends the Online Safety Act 2023). It sets out a single, clear route for affected individuals to have non-consensual content removed quickly and consistently.

Where to find it

The Policy is available at legal.fanvue.com/ncii-takedown-policy.

To help readers find the new Policy from the rules it supports, we’ve added cross-references in:

11th May 2026 – Enforcement Actions Clarified

We’ve clarified the enforcement actions available to Fanvue in response to a breach of our policies. The updates make clear that, where appropriate, Fanvue may remove some or all User Content from an Account, separately from suspending or terminating the Account itself.

What’s changed?

Acceptable Use Policy – Section 7 (Breach Consequences)

  • Added a new clause confirming that Fanvue may remove some or all User Content from an Account where the Content breaches an applicable Fanvue Policy, with or without suspending or terminating the Account.
  • Renumbered the remaining bullets in Section 7.1 accordingly.

General Terms & Conditions – Section 16 (Account Suspension and Termination)

  • Updated Section 16.3 so that the same grounds that may give rise to account-level action (suspension, restriction, or termination) may also give rise to content-level action (removal of User Content).

Content Moderation & Protection Policy

  • Updated a cross-reference to reflect the renumbering in the Acceptable Use Policy.

Why?

These changes bring the published policies in line with how moderation operates day to day and give clearer reference points where Content-level action is the proportionate response to a breach.

New Credit Terms Document

We’ve published a standalone Credit Terms document that sets out how Credits on the Platform work. It brings together, in one place, rules that previously sat across the General Terms & Conditions and in implied terms of use.

What the Credit Terms cover

  • The nature of Credits on the Platform: a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use digitised tokens. Credits have no cash or stored value, are not money, and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between accounts.
  • How Credits are acquired: by top-up (Purchased Credits) or granted by Fanvue as part of a promotion (Promotional Credits).
  • Consumption order: when you spend Credits, the oldest Credits on your account are used first, regardless of whether they are Purchased or Promotional.
  • Expiry: Promotional Credits expire 90 days after they are granted. Purchased Credits expire after 24 months of inactivity on the account (no top-up or spend during that period).
  • Refunds and cash-out: Credits are non-refundable and cannot be cashed out. Credits may be forfeited if an account is suspended or terminated.

What this means for Credit balances held on the Effective Date

  • Purchased Credits you hold on 24th April 2026 are subject to the new rules, with the 24-month inactivity clock starting from 24th April 2026 rather than the original purchase date. The earliest any existing Purchased Credit could expire is 24th April 2028.
  • Promotional Credits granted before 24th April 2026 continue to be governed by the terms that applied at the time they were granted.

The General Terms & Conditions has been updated to reference the new Credit Terms document in the Ancillary Terms definition, the Credit Terms definition, and Section 3 (Paid for Services).

Extended Billing Query Window

We’ve extended the window for raising billing, Credits, and purchase queries with our support team from 30 days to 90 days, giving you more time to get in touch about a transaction on your account.

What’s changed?

Why?

  • More time to review: A longer window means you don’t need to rush a query if something looks off on a recent transaction.
  • Easier to resolve directly: More breathing room to work things out with our support team.

Creator Earnings Policy Refresh

We’ve refreshed our creator earnings policies to keep them clear, accurate, and consistent with the live experience you see in the product.

The standard Creator Earning Rate remains 80% of gross revenue (with the remaining 20% retained as Platform Fees). This is unchanged.

What’s changed?

  • Introduced the concept of a Promotional Earning Rate to cover any time-limited introductory uplift offered to new or eligible creators. Current promotional details, including the applicable rate, who’s eligible, and how long it runs, are always published in-product, so you can check the live offer in one place.
  • Refreshed the related wording in the Creator Terms & Conditions so both policies read consistently.
  • Partnership agreements and bespoke commercial arrangements continue to work as before.

Why?

  • Always accurate: As introductory offers evolve, the policy stays current, with no risk of out-of-date figures lingering in a legal document.
  • Easier to find: Live promotional details are shown where they’re most useful (in the product) rather than duplicated in a separate legal page.
  • No change to baseline: Your 80% standard entitlement is unaffected. Any Promotional Earning Rate can only increase your share above baseline for the published period.

21st January 2026 – API Access & Usage Policy Update

We’ve updated the API Access & Usage Policy to protect creators from social engineering attacks targeting Third-Party Application credentials.

What’s Changed?

Definitions

  • Added definitions for Third-Party Application and Application Credentials to clarify OAuth-related terminology.

Section 5 - Prohibited Use

  • Explicitly prohibited creating applications at the request of third parties.
  • Prohibited sharing Application Credentials (client secrets, redirect URIs, webhook callbacks) with others.
  • Prohibited instructing others to create applications or share credentials in violation of the Policy.

Section 10 - Security Requirements

  • Added comprehensive guidance on Third-Party Application security.
  • Detailed steps to revoke access and delete compromised applications.
  • Specific warnings about social engineering tactics, including chatbots asking creators to create apps on their behalf.

Section 11 - Termination, Suspension & Versioning

  • Clarified that Fanvue may take immediate action against accounts involved in credential sharing or facilitating unauthorised access.

Why These Changes?

These updates respond to observed social engineering attempts where malicious services have asked creators to create Third-Party Applications and share credentials, enabling unauthorised access to creator accounts and data.

Need to Check Your Account?

If you have previously created a Third-Party Application at someone else’s request, or shared credentials with a third-party service:

  1. Revoke third-party access: Settings → Account → Third Party Apps Consent → Revoke
  2. Delete any compromised applications: Creator Tools → Build → [Select App] → Delete
  3. Contact support if you believe your account may have been compromised: support@fanvue.com
