Marketing Policy

This Marketing Policy outlines Fanvue’s approach to the promotion and representation of its services and brand. It defines the standards of ethical marketing, transparency, and compliance that must be followed when marketing Fanvue to potential Users, Creators, and the public.
This Policy supplements the General Terms & Conditions and other applicable Fanvue Policies. If there is any conflict between this Policy and the General Terms, the terms of this Policy shall prevail for the specific subject matter it governs.
DEFINITIONS
“Marketing Materials” means any advertisement, email, public statement, social post, visual asset, or other promotional Content produced by or on behalf of Fanvue.
“Affiliate or Referrer” means a User who shares or promotes Fanvue via the Referral Policy or other promotional programmes.
1. ETHICAL MARKETING AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE
- Fanvue is committed to conducting all marketing activities in accordance with applicable laws and advertising regulations, including consumer protection and fair trading standards.
- We do not permit the use of:
- False, exaggerated, or misleading claims;
- Deceptive marketing tactics;
- Unsubstantiated earnings guarantees or testimonials;
- Manipulated user statistics or fabricated endorsements.
- Marketing claims must be accurate, verifiable, and reflect the actual functionality and services offered by Fanvue.
2. TRANSPARENCY AND DISCLOSURE
- All Marketing Materials must clearly communicate:
- The nature of the Platform;
- Any fees or payment obligations;
- Links to the Privacy Policy, Creator Terms, and Acceptable Use Policy.
- Where Content is promotional in nature (e.g. influencer posts, affiliate Content), appropriate disclosures (e.g. “#ad” or “sponsored”) must be used in accordance with ASA Guidance or other regional advertising codes.
- Users who promote Fanvue through referrals or other programmes must comply with this Policy and the Referral Policy.
3. RESPECT, DIVERSITY AND REPRESENTATION
- Fanvue prohibits the use of discriminatory, derogatory, or exploitative imagery or language in any marketing activity.
- Marketing campaigns must reflect Fanvue’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, and may not:
- Reinforce harmful stereotypes;
- Marginalise individuals or communities on the basis of gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or age;
- Promote unrealistic or unsafe body standards or behaviours.
4. PRIVACY AND CONSENT
- No personal data shall be collected or processed for marketing purposes without the proper legal basis, as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
- Fanvue will not use any Creative User Content, likeness, or media in public-facing Marketing Materials without:
- The Creative User’s prior written consent; or
- Terms of licence that explicitly permit such promotional use.
- Users may opt out of receiving direct marketing communications via platform settings or through unsubscribe links provided in email messages.
5. COMMUNITY AND PLATFORM INTEGRITY
- Marketing activities may not promote:
- Content or services that violate the Acceptable Use Policy;
- Any illegal, misleading, or exploitative schemes;
- Off-platform services, escorting, or other non-permitted third-party transactions.
- Marketing must uphold the integrity of the Platform and the safety of its users.
