14th June 2026 – Co-Authored Content Policy Updates

We’ve updated our Co-Authored Content Policy to make the rules around featuring other people clearer and to set out what happens if the Policy is breached.

What’s changed?

Co-Authored Content Policy

  • Clarified Section 1 so that any person featured in your content (visually, audibly, or otherwise) is covered, whether or not they are recognisable.
  • Added a clause to Section 2 confirming that you must obtain a third party’s permission before uploading any content featuring them.
  • Added a new Section 4 (Breaches and Account Moderation) setting out that breaches may lead to content or account suspension or removal, a ban on opening further accounts, and, for serious breaches involving unlawful conduct, referral to law enforcement.

Why?

These updates make it easier to understand who needs to consent before appearing in content, and give you a clear picture of the consequences of breaching the Policy.

14th June 2026 – Creator Terms & Conditions Updates

We’ve refreshed the Creator Terms & Conditions to clarify our onboarding rights, tidy up some wording, and consolidate how account and earnings actions work into a single, clearer section.

What’s changed?

Creator Terms & Conditions

  • Section 1 (Eligibility and Onboarding): clarified that onboarding requirements are not exhaustive, that we may update the onboarding process to keep pace with regulation and best practice, and that re-verification may be requested in line with our Age Verification Policy.
  • Section 3 (Payouts and Withdrawals): minor wording refinement to the clause on reporting discrepancies in your Creator Balance.
  • Section 7 (Set-Off and Withholding Rights, and Account Modification): merged the previous set-off, withholding, and termination sections into one section. It now sets out, in one place, when we may suspend an account or withhold earnings while we review the facts, what happens once a breach or unlawful activity is confirmed (including notice and a statement of reasons), and how liens or encumbrances on earnings are handled.
  • Appeals: the window to dispute a forfeiture, suspension, or termination decision is now six months from the action.

Why?

These updates put all account and earnings actions in one place so it’s easier to see how they work, confirm that you’ll always receive notice and reasons when action is taken, and give you significantly more time to raise an appeal.

14th June 2026 – Standard Contract Between Fan and Creator Updates

We’ve updated the Standard Contract Between Fan and Creator to align a definition with our other Creator terms and to make the scope of the Fan licence clearer.

  • Definitions: updated the definition of “Creator” so it is consistent with the wording used across our other Creator terms.
  • Section 2 (Scope of Fan Licence): confirmed that the view-only licence does not permit copying, redistribution, reproduction, or resale of Creator content.
  • Section 7 (No Guarantees): clarified that content may also be removed at Fanvue’s discretion in order to uphold our Terms of Service.

Why?

These updates keep our definitions consistent across policies and make the limits of the Fan licence clearer, so everyone knows what access to content does and does not allow.

14th June 2026 – General Terms & Conditions Updates

We’ve updated our General Terms & Conditions to improve transparency around enforcement decisions and to tidy and clarify a number of clauses.

What’s changed?

General Terms & Conditions

  • Section 16 (Account Suspension and Termination): we will now provide reasons for our enforcement decisions, including telling you where a moderation decision was made by automated means such as AI content moderation. In limited cases (for example, to protect investigations, another User’s privacy, or legal obligations) we may withhold specific detail.
  • Definitions: aligned terminology and references for consistency across our policies, and confirmed UK GDPR in the data protection definition.
  • Section 3 (Paid for Services): minor wording refinements, including naming the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard in full.
  • Section 8 (Linking): added that links to the Platform must not be aimed at, or likely to attract, children.
  • General clarity and consistency refinements across several sections.

Why?

The main change gives you a clearer right to understand why an enforcement action was taken, and to know when automated tools were involved, while the remaining updates improve clarity and keep our terms consistent.

14th June 2026 – Community Guidelines Refresh

We’ve significantly expanded and reorganised our Community Guidelines to make our rules clearer, more comprehensive, and easier to navigate.

What’s changed?

Community Guidelines

  • Clearer structure: the Guidelines are now organised into lettered sections (General Content Standards, General Use, Prohibited Content, AI-Generated Media, User Behaviour Requirements, and Public Profile & Discovery), with Prohibited Content broken into clearly numbered categories.
  • Expanded definitions: added definitions of Intimate, User Content, and Violent content, and refined the definition of Explicit Content.
  • New and more detailed prohibitions, including dedicated sections on:
    • Coercive and controlling behaviour;
    • Extreme pornography and non-permitted adult content, with a clear list of banned acts;
    • Exploitation of children and CSAM;
    • Sexual exploitation of adults;
    • Unlawful immigration, modern slavery and human trafficking;
    • Fraud and financial offences;
    • Encouraging suicide or self-harm;
    • Controlled substances and weapons;
    • Misinformation, disinformation and foreign interference;
    • Animal safety.
  • Scope and enforcement: clarified that the Guidelines may also apply to off-platform conduct involving unlawful activity or serious breaches, and that serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.

Why?

These updates give everyone a clearer and more complete picture of what is and isn’t allowed on Fanvue, and reflect our continued commitment to a safe, respectful platform.

14th June 2026 – Acceptable Use Policy Streamlined

We’ve streamlined our Acceptable Use Policy so it works hand in hand with the refreshed Community Guidelines, which now hold the detailed content rules in one place.

What’s changed?

Acceptable Use Policy

  • Section 1 (General Use): added clearer eligibility rules, confirming that under-18s and individuals subject to sexual-offence convictions, registers, or notification requirements may not use the Platform.
  • Content rules consolidated: the detailed lists of prohibited content (such as sexual content standards, hate speech, weapons, drugs, and self-harm) now live in the Community Guidelines, with the Acceptable Use Policy pointing to them. This avoids duplication and gives a single, comprehensive source for what is and isn’t allowed.
  • Section 7 (Breach Consequences): added that Fanvue may permanently ban users from creating further accounts, and clarified the ability to refer suspected criminal activity to law enforcement. The ability to remove some or all User Content from an Account (with or without suspending it) remains.

Why?

Bringing the detailed content rules together in the Community Guidelines makes them easier to find and follow, while the Acceptable Use Policy continues to set out the standards of conduct and the consequences of breaching them.

  • Transparency of decisions: added that Users will be notified of the reason when their content or account is removed or restricted, and will be told where automated tools were used to moderate content or flag a violation.
  • Section 1 (User Safety): confirmed Fanvue is a platform for those aged 18 or over, and that under-18s found to have misrepresented their age will be prevented from reopening an account.
  • Section 2 (KYC & Creator Identity): clarified that identification must be government-issued, and that Users who have not declared an intention to upload explicit content during KYC may not upload it.
  • Section 3 (Moderation Process): introduced Fanvue’s Safety Escalations Team, responsible for reviewing serious violations and decisions on law-enforcement referrals.
  • Section 6 (Law Enforcement): added terrorism and violent extremism to the matters on which Fanvue cooperates with law enforcement.
