Checkout Links Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy
Checkout Links Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy
Updated: 23rd July 2026
INTRODUCTION
This Policy sets out what may and may not be sold through Fanvue Checkout Links. It applies to every Seller and every Product offered through a Checkout Link, and forms part of the Checkout Links Seller Terms.
Checkout Links are designed for lawful digital products and services: for example online courses, digital downloads, software, memberships, and digital communities.
This Policy supplements the General Terms & Conditions, the Acceptable Use Policy, and other applicable Fanvue Policies. If there is any conflict between this Policy and the General Terms, the terms of this Policy shall prevail for the specific subject matter it governs.
All defined terms used herein shall have the meaning assigned in the General Terms & Conditions and the Checkout Links Seller Terms, unless otherwise stated.
1. HOW THIS POLICY WORKS
- Products fall into three groups:
- Permitted: lawful digital products and services that do not appear in the lists below;
- Restricted: categories that may only be sold with Fanvue’s prior written approval, following enhanced review (see Section 3); and
- Prohibited: categories that may never be sold through Checkout Links (see Section 2).
- These lists are not exhaustive. Fanvue may decline, restrict, or remove any Product, category, merchant, or transaction at any time, including for legal, regulatory, reputational, or business reasons.
- Financial partner requirements. Checkout Links depend on Fanvue’s banking, acquiring, and card network partners. Fanvue may prohibit or restrict any category, merchant, or transaction that its financial partners will not support, even where it is not listed below.
