Clearer Appeals Rights and a Consistent Appeal Window

We’ve strengthened the appeals process across our policies, including a dedicated route for anyone who appears in Content to challenge whether their consent was properly obtained.

What’s changed?

Complaints Policy

  • Added a right for any person depicted in Content to appeal a decision about whether their appearance was consented to, whether or not they are a Fanvue user, by contacting support@fanvue.com.
  • Set out what happens once such an appeal is raised: we confirm whether appropriate consent was obtained, remove the Content immediately where consent cannot be established or is void under applicable law, and provide access to an independent, neutral third party to resolve any remaining dispute at our cost.
  • Added supporting definitions for Depicted Person and Consent Dispute.

Content Moderation & Protection Policy

  • Extended the window to submit a moderation appeal from 7 to 14 calendar days, so it matches the window in the Complaints Policy.

Why?

Everyone who appears in Content deserves a clear, fair way to raise a consent concern and have it resolved independently if needed. Aligning the appeal window across both policies means one consistent deadline to remember, wherever your appeal starts.
