## Brazil PIX Payment Terms Updated

Following review by our Brazilian payments partner's legal team, we've updated the **Brazil PIX Payment Terms** to name the provider that handles PIX payments and to describe more precisely what each party is responsible for.

### What's changed?

#### [Brazil - PIX Payment Terms](/brazil-pix-terms)

* Identified the eFX provider that currently processes PIX payments, **OKTO TECH LTDA.**, including its CNPJ and registered address.
* Clarified that by selecting PIX and proceeding with payment, you contract directly with the eFX provider for the international payment service, and are its client and the remitting user for that payment.
* Set out that proceeding with payment confirms your acknowledgement of the nature and conditions of the eFX service and of the respective responsibilities of Fanvue and the eFX provider.
* Separated the two roles more clearly: Fanvue is responsible for the sale and provision of the digital content or subscription, and does not itself provide the regulated eFX service in Brazil.
* Confirmed that any fees or charges applicable to the eFX service are shown before you confirm the transaction.
* Expanded the description of the **Mecanismo Especial de Devolução (MED)** to confirm it does not cover ordinary commercial disputes about a purchase, or errors made by the payer such as paying the wrong recipient.
* Applied the same changes to the Portuguese version at [**Brasil - Termos de Pagamento via PIX**](/termos-pix-brasil).

### Why?

You can now see exactly which company receives your Reais and what it is accountable for, separately from what Fanvue is accountable for. The MED section is clearer about when that route is open to you and when to come to us instead.

## Minor Updates to Acceptable Use Policy

We've updated our [**Acceptable Use Policy**](/acceptable-use-policy#4-other-restrictions) to clarify that the Platform may not be used to request, arrange, offer, advertise or promote in-person meetings with other Users.

### Why This Change?

This helps keep interactions between Users safely within the Platform.

## Brazil PIX Payment Terms

We've added a new policy covering payments made from Brazil using **PIX**, setting out who processes your payment, what Fanvue is responsible for, and what rights you have in relation to a PIX payment. It is published in English and in Portuguese.

### What's changed?

#### [Brazil - PIX Payment Terms](/brazil-pix-terms)

* New policy explaining that PIX payments in Reais are received and processed by a regulated international payments facilitator (eFX provider), not by Fanvue, and what that provider is responsible for.
* Confirmed that Fanvue is the supplier of the Paid-for Services, while the eFX provider is responsible for the currency conversion and the international transfer only.
* Set out that the amount shown in Reais at checkout is final, and that the conversion rate applied is the rate on the date of the relevant event.
* Explained that Reais must be paid from an account held in your own name, and that payments made by a third party on your behalf are not accepted.
* Described the **Mecanismo Especial de Devolução (MED)**, how to ask your own payment institution to open it, and what it does and does not cover.
* Added a Portuguese version at [**Brasil - Termos de Pagamento via PIX**](/termos-pix-brasil).

#### [General Terms & Conditions](/terms-conditions#3-paid-for-services)

* Added Section 3.19 pointing to the new Brazil PIX Payment Terms and confirming that they prevail for PIX payments made from Brazil.

### Why?

If you pay by PIX, you can now see in one place who is handling your money, what the amount in Reais covers, and what to do if something goes wrong. The Portuguese version means those answers are available in your own language before you pay.

## Referral & Affiliate Program Updates

We've rewritten the commission sections of the **Creator Referral & Affiliate Program** so that it sets out exactly which revenue earns referral commission, how long the attribution window runs, and how affiliate commission works on Fanvue Checkout sales.

### What's changed?

#### [Creator Referral & Affiliate Program](/creator-referral-affiliate#13-referral-commission)

* Introduced a defined **Qualifying Revenue** concept listing the revenue that earns referral commission: tips, paid messages and pay-per-view unlocks, paid posts and content unlocks (including Media Links), profile subscriptions and their renewals, and Fanvue App Store purchases.
* Set out what does not earn referral commission, including Fanvue Checkout sales, commission earned by the referred Creator, Promotional Credits and giveaways, and transactions with a zero net value such as free trials and fully discounted purchases.
* Documented the **attribution window** in full: 36 months for Creators who registered before 9th April 2026, and 12 months for Creators who registered on or after that date.
* Confirmed that attribution requires the referral link or code to be applied at registration, and that commission does not accrue while a Referring User's account is suspended, banned, or closed.
* Confirmed that affiliate commission applies to purchases made through the Promoted Creator's **Checkout Links**, and that it is calculated on the Promoted Creator's net proceeds after Fanvue Checkout fees.

#### [Fanvue Checkout Seller Terms](/checkout-seller-terms#6-fees-payouts-and-taxes)

* Added Section 6.1.7 confirming how referral and affiliate commission apply to Fanvue Checkout sales.

#### [Creator Terms & Conditions](/creator-terms#6-referrals-and-affiliate-commissions)

* Aligned Section 6 with the Qualifying Revenue definition and the attribution window.

### Why?

The Program now spells out in one place what earns commission and for how long, so you can see what a referral is worth without cross-referencing other policies. The 36-month window for earlier referrals is written down for the first time, and the commission rate and cap are unchanged.

We've published a standalone **Rewards Terms** document that sets out how Points work under the Fanvue Rewards programme, our points system that lets you earn rewards for completing actions on the Platform, such as following or subscribing to Creators.

### What the Rewards Terms cover

* **The nature of Points**: a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to access a discount mechanism on the Platform. Points have no cash or stored value, are not money, and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between accounts.
* **Earning and claiming Points**: Points are earned by completing a Challenge and must be actively claimed within a 48-hour window, or the reward is lost.
* **Pending period**: claimed Points are held for 7 days before they become spendable, to allow standard payment verification checks to complete.
* **Using Points**: Points can only be redeemed against the full value of a transaction, not as a partial payment.
* **Expiry**: unspent Points expire after **30 days** of being credited to your Points Balance.
* **Fair use and forfeiture**: Points and rewards may be withheld, reclaimed, or forfeited in cases of fraud, abuse, or account suspension/termination.

## New Policy Added

We've added a new **App Store Reviews Policy** covering the rules for reviews left by Users on apps published in the Fanvue App Store.

### What's changed?

* Reviews are only accepted from Users who have genuinely used the app, and each review is verified against a genuine usage record before publication
* Sets out the content that is not allowed in reviews (including fake, deceptive, or incentivised reviews, spam, abuse, and anything breaching our [**Community Guidelines**](/community-guidelines))
* Confirms the grounds on which we will not remove a review (pricing or value opinions, feature complaints, and low ratings without text)
* Explains that App Builders may post one public reply per review, and how you can report a review you believe breaches the Policy

### Where to Find It

The Policy can be found at [**App Store Reviews Policy**](/app-store-reviews-policy).

## Clearer Appeals Rights and a Consistent Appeal Window

We've strengthened the appeals process across our policies, including a dedicated route for anyone who appears in Content to challenge whether their consent was properly obtained.

### What's changed?

#### [Complaints Policy](/complaints-policy#5-appeals)

* Added a right for any person depicted in Content to appeal a decision about whether their appearance was consented to, whether or not they are a Fanvue user, by contacting [**support@fanvue.com**](mailto:support@fanvue.com).
* Set out what happens once such an appeal is raised: we confirm whether appropriate consent was obtained, remove the Content immediately where consent cannot be established or is void under applicable law, and provide access to an independent, neutral third party to resolve any remaining dispute at our cost.
* Added supporting definitions for **Depicted Person** and **Consent Dispute**.

#### [Content Moderation & Protection Policy](/content-moderation#4-appeals-and-account-review)

* Extended the window to submit a moderation appeal from 7 to 14 calendar days, so it matches the window in the **Complaints Policy**.

### Why?

Everyone who appears in Content deserves a clear, fair way to raise a consent concern and have it resolved independently if needed. Aligning the appeal window across both policies means one consistent deadline to remember, wherever your appeal starts.

## New Checkout Links Policies Added

We've launched **Checkout Links**: secure, Fanvue-hosted checkout pages that let approved sellers offer digital products and services through a shareable link. To support this, we've added a dedicated set of policies under the new **Checkout Links** tab, so both buyers and sellers know exactly how purchases work, who is responsible for what, and what can be sold.

### What's Included?

* **[Buyer Terms](/checkout-buyer-terms)**: Explains who you are buying from, how the charge appears on your statement, how payments and subscriptions work, and how refunds, withdrawal rights, and payment disputes are handled.
* **[Seller Terms](/checkout-seller-terms)**: Sets out how sellers are onboarded and verified, what must be disclosed on every listing, fulfilment and buyer support responsibilities, fees and payouts, and the standards sellers must meet to keep selling.
* **[Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy](/checkout-prohibited-products)**: Lists what can never be sold through Checkout Links and which categories need prior approval, keeping the checkout experience safe and trustworthy for everyone.

### Related Policy Updates

To support Checkout Links, we've also updated our existing policies:

* [**General Terms – Section 3 (Paid for Services)**](/terms-conditions#3-paid-for-services) now confirms that purchases made through Checkout Links are governed by the [**Checkout Links Buyer Terms**](/checkout-buyer-terms).
* [**General Terms – Section 7 (Creators)**](/terms-conditions#7-creators) now permits sales through Checkout Links in accordance with the [**Checkout Links Seller Terms**](/checkout-seller-terms).
* The [**Privacy Policy**](/privacy-policy) has a new Checkout Links section explaining how buyer and seller data is handled, including the account created at guest checkout and the information shared with sellers to deliver purchases.
* The [**Cookie Policy**](/cookie-policy) now explains how cookies recognise your existing account on Fanvue-hosted checkout pages to make checkout faster.

### Where to Find Them

All three policies live under the new **Checkout Links** tab, starting from the [**Checkout Links Policy Hub**](/checkout-policies).

## New Online Complaints Form for Legal Complaints

We've introduced a single online complaints form for legal complaints and updated the relevant policies to use it.

### What's changed?

#### [Complaints Policy](/complaints-policy)

* Added our online complaints form as a route for legal complaints, including those under the UK Online Safety Act and the EU Digital Services Act, and added a signpost to the **Non-consensual Intimate Image Takedown Policy**.

#### [DMCA Policy](/dmca-policy)

* DMCA notices and counter-notices are now submitted through the online complaints form.

#### [Non-consensual Intimate Image Takedown Policy](/ncii-takedown-policy)

* NCII removal requests are now submitted through the online complaints form.

### Why?

A single, structured form makes it quicker and clearer to raise copyright, intimate-image, and other legal complaints, and helps us route and respond to them consistently. General queries can still be raised through our usual support channels.
